Doja Cat has been forced to cancel her BRIT Awards performance just one week before the awards ceremony. The cancellation is due to members of her stage team catching Covid-19.

The 26-year-old Get Into It (Yuh) singer is nominated for International Artist of the Year and Best International Song at this years BRITs.

Amala, better known as Doja, took to Twitter to announce the cancellation down to “cases of Covid within [the] crew”.

It would have been Doja Cat’s first UK performance.

Other acts planning to take the stage at the BRITs include rappers Dave and Little Simz, and now big time star Adele.
